From there, we will travel to one of the largest stalactite caves in Europe. Next, we'll enjoy a cup of coffee at one of Ljubljana's charming cafes, followed by a visit to Lake Bled, where we'll spend the next few days engaging in family-friendly activities such as rafting, visiting an adrenaline park, enjoying Mini Mundus Park, walking among the lakes in Triglav National Park, and much more. A once-in-a-lifetime experience.

A Suggested Itinerary for Inspiration

Day 1 | Zagreb - Adriatic Riviera - Opatija

We'll meet at the airport and take a direct flight to Zagreb. Upon arrival, we'll head to Plitvice Lakes National Park, located in the karst rocky region. We'll stroll through the park, which contains 16 stunning lakes with varying shades of turquoise, green, and blue depending on the water composition and sunlight refraction. If we're lucky, we might even spot bears or wolves in the dense surrounding forest. We'll walk among the wooden bridges connecting the lakes, then take a ride on the "local train" before traveling to Opatija for our overnight stay.


Day 2 | Opatija - Istria Peninsula

In the morning, we'll explore the Adriatic Riviera in depth. After breakfast, we'll embark on a day tour to the Adriatic Sea's coastal resorts, where Venetian noble families built their vacation sites. We'll begin our tour of the Istria Peninsula in the Venetian town of Rovinj, known as the "Adriatic Venice." We'll visit the Holy Euphemia Church, see the tomb washed ashore from the distant depths of Constantinople, stroll through the beautiful ancient streets, visit the local market, and admire the city's bustling harbor. From there, we'll continue to the picturesque harbor town of Piran, where we'll explore the old town's beautiful streets before returning to Opatija for overnight.


Day 3 | Postojna Caves - Ljubljana - Kranjska Gora

This morning, we'll cross the border into Slovenia, traveling through the Slovenian Karst region to the largest cave in Europe, Postojna Cave. Together with a small train, we'll enter the depths of the cave, where we'll encounter magnificent stalactites and stalagmites. From there, we'll have a short introductory tour of Ljubljana, the Slovenian capital, before heading towards Croatia's capital in the evening. Upon arrival, we'll stroll through the city's beautiful streets and vibrant market. Finally, we'll settle in for an overnight stay in the city. In the evening, we'll reach the town of Kranska Gora, where we'll spend the next few nights.


Day 4 | Kranjska Gora - Klagenfurt (Austria) - Minimundus - Kranjska Gora

This morning, we'll travel through the tri-border region of Italy - Slovenia - Austria to the leisure center of the Julian Alps in Austria. We'll visit the towns of Villach and Klagenfurt. From there, we'll head to "Mini Mundus," which features over 150 models of various places and attractions worldwide. Afternoon return journey to Slovenia. In the evening, we'll return to our base in the picturesque town of Kranska Gora.


Day 5 | Vintgar Gorge - Lake Bled - Lake Bohinj - Kranjska Gora

We'll start the day with a breathtaking walking tour in the stunning Vintgar Gorge Nature Reserve, which features steep walls and a rushing river below. We'll walk on wooden bridges suspended along these walls. Next, we'll have a view of Lake Bled, a classic glacial lake that Slovenia has banned motorized boating on to preserve its purity. We'll visit Bled Castle, built in the 11th century, which served as the bishops' residence for about 800 years. We'll continue to see Lake Bohinj, the largest of Slovenia's lakes, and admire its wonderful turquoise colors and lush surroundings before returning for an overnight stay and dinner in Kranska Gora.


Day 6 | Pohorje Adrenalin Park

This morning, we'll leave our hotel in Kranjska Gora for an unforgettable day in the adrenaline park, a unique experience for the whole family. We'll return to the Kranjska Gora area and take a cable car up to view the Vogel, considered the highest mountain in the Slovenian Alps. We'll also see the stunning Savica Waterfall. Dinner and overnight stay in Kranjska Gora.


Day 7 | Kranjska Gora - Triglav National Park - Zagreb

This morning, we'll leave the Julian Alps. We'll travel to the site of the Olympic ski jumps in Planica, located about 10 km southwest of Kranska Gora. The place is a tourist attraction even when there are no competitions. We'll climb to a height of about 1,108 meters and see the amazing panorama of the towering mountains and dense vegetation. We'll then hike in the Triglav National Park.
